NOTE: These IMR cells have a much lower internal resistance than traditional 3.7V LiIon cells and may have a higher final voltage when recharged in some chargers (especially older versions of the Xtar WP2II). Check the voltage of your 14500 IMR battery as soon as it is removed from the charger to see if the voltage is above 4.20V when fully charged. You can check with a multimeter. Overcharging above 4.25V can shorten the lifespan. Above 4.5V it could even damage the product. DO NOT use the charger if it overcharges the IMR cells.
Other precautions:
- Do not discharge the battery excessively/do not overcharge it
- Recharge discharged batteries (resting voltage of about 3.6V) as soon as possible. Leaving Li-Ion batteries discharged causes irreversible damage (capacity/charge cycles)
- Do not expose to short circuit (it will release a strong shock)
- Do not expose to heat sources
We do not recommend using unprotected batteries in devices that are not designed for such batteries. If you use them, it will be at your own risk. Do not use adapters with these batteries.
Use only batteries suitable for your vaping device. If in doubt, ask for advice.
Do not leave batteries unattended while charging and do not leave them charging overnight.
Store batteries away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
Handle batteries with care. Do not leave them in pockets or bags with coins or keys.
Always use a box or a silicone battery cover for transportation.
